Greek Cuisine in Naxos Island

Among the local sweets, the "melachrino" stands out. It looks a lot like walnut pie, contains citrus and is served with kaimaki ice cream. The island is also famous for its spoon sweets and citrus-based jams.

However, the trademark of Naxos, the synonymous product of the island, is citrus liqueur, which is distilled and bottled on the island. The liqueur comes in yellow, green and white and you will see it on the shelves of every shop in Naxos, as it is one of the most sought-after products for tourists.
